WHERE IS NOW — 2013 / 81:00 loop / HD
Where is Now is an 81-minute loop, installation piece made from the filmTime Beingto be projected in a space as a stand-alone work rather than viewed as a traditional film. Eighty-one shots from that film all play at once but every minute the grid configuration changes and very subtly the 81-frame mosaic renders a subliminal image. The piece ponders the notion of how time and space need each other for a human to be able interface with either and the question of where is now and when is here. Narrative is normally approached as a line upon which shots come one after the other but inWhere is Nowthe shots all play at once but rearrange their position every minute. This is an 81-minute film that can be seen in one minute but every minute is different.
